Job summary

JLL is seeking a Mission Critical Lead Facilities Operator in Richardson, TX to oversee operational management and daily leadership of a facilities team for mission critical infrastructure. You will manage shifts, ensure safety and 100% uptime, supervise technicians, and coordinate with vendors for maintenance and upgrades.

The role requires a strong technical background in electrical, mechanical, and digital systems, plus excellent communication skills to present complex information to clients

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED or technical training/degree required.
• CMCO certification desired.
• 7+ years in a lead facilities/operator role within data center/mission critical environments.
• Operating Engineer license and Universal CFC license required.
• Ability to read and interpret design/construction documents for critical sites and systems.
• Proven ability to present complex technical information to clients.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and email.
• Strong math/physics/chemistry foundations related to facilities management.
• Excellent verbal/written communication; able to direct teams and self-perform repairs as needed.
• Knowledge of electrical, mechanical, fire/safety, environmental control and digital systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise facilities operators and maintenance staff; schedule shifts for coverage.
• Direct vendor personnel for site infrastructure support and upgrades.
• Maintain 100% uptime reliability of mission critical facilities.
• Oversee preventative/corrective maintenance and system upgrades.
• Ensure safety, compliance, and rapid response to incidents.
• Present technical information clearly to clients and stakeholders.
