Job summary

The Sevier County Sheriff's Office is seeking a dependable Operations & Maintenance Technician to maintain the Administrative Building, Training Facility, and Special Operations Center. The role supports a clean, safe, and professional environment for staff and the public.

Responsibilities include custodial tasks, minor repairs, grounds maintenance, and assistance with special events and projects. Strong integrity and reliability are essential for daily operations and customer service.

Qualifications

• Possess a High School Diploma or GED.
• Possess a valid Tennessee Driver License.
• Have reliable transportation to and from work.
• Be able to travel weekly between Sheriff's Office facilities using a personally owned vehicle.
• Possess basic hand tools necessary to perform routine maintenance (e.g., screwdrivers, wrenches, socket set, hammer, tape measure, utility knife, cordless drill).
• Complete criminal background investigation, drug screening, and pre-employment physical examination.

Responsibilities

• Perform custodial and maintenance duties to keep facilities clean, safe, and professional.
• Maintenance of interiors and exteriors, including painting and minor repairs as needed.
• Groundskeeping and exterior maintenance for the facilities and surroundings.
• Assist with special events and facility projects.
• Maintain maintenance logs and work records; coordinate with contractors for scheduled services.
