Job summary

GDI Ainsworth is seeking a Building Operations Technician, Level 2 - Commercial in Orlando, FL. This on-site role focuses on routine and specialized maintenance across buildings, equipment, and grounds, including painting, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and janitorial tasks.

You will perform inspections, preventative maintenance, basic repairs, and coordinate with contractors. A high school diploma and 3+ years in commercial maintenance are required; lifting up to 50 lbs is expected.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or equivalent
• Lift up to 50 lbs.
• 3+ years’ experience in the maintenance field with commercial experience
• Skills in problem-solving, troubleshooting, and repairing or replacing faulty parts

Responsibilities

• Conducting routine inspections of premises and equipment.
• Performing preventative maintenance.
• Handling basic repairs and maintenance.
• Performance of specialized maintenance work as required. Examples may include operation and maintenance of heavy machinery e.g. excavators/graders, maintenance of vehicles, basic millwork and carpentry repairs, roadways and grounds maintenance, maintenance of dock locks and levelers, maintenance of door systems, roofing repairs, etc.
• Coordinating and overseeing contractors when professional repairs are necessary.
• Diagnosing mechanical issues and correcting them.
• Completion of electronic or paper-based records of maintenance tasks.
