Job summary

GOODWILL OF NORTH FLORIDA is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Technician I in Jacksonville, FL to maintain, repair, and remodel shared facilities and equipment. The role covers painting, carpentry, minor electrical and plumbing, drywall, and HVAC-related work across owned and leased buildings.

Requirements include a High School diploma or GED, 2+ years in maintenance with 1–2 years in commercial settings preferred, and a Florida driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Education: High School or GED.
• Experience: Two or more years in maintenance; 1–2 years in commercial maintenance preferred.
• Licensure/Certification: Electrical, plumbing or HVAC certification is preferred but not required.
• Florida driver’s license is required.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and troubleshoot all structural components related to building and grounds systems.
• Performs a variety of skilled duties in building trades including painting, carpentry, electrical, plumbing, drywall or HVAC-related maintenance.
