Job summary

Samaritan Hospital is seeking an experienced Facilities Maintenance Supervisor to oversee boiler house, plumbing, and HVAC operations day shift. The role ensures reliable systems, safety, and compliant maintenance across plant operations.

Candidates should have a high school diploma (HVAC or building maintenance training preferred) and at least five years of supervisory experience in an institutional steam facility, with a 2-year degree in HVAC or engineering technology highly desirable.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; vocational/technical HVAC or building maintenance training preferred.
• Two-year college degree in HVAC or engineering technology highly desirable.
• Minimum five years of progressive supervisory experience in operation of an institutional steam generating facility and facilities maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Writes MWO's for defects noted during work or as advised by staff.
• Prioritizes MWO's using a defined priority system.
• Decides whether maintenance is done in-house or contracted to others.
• Supervises Boiler House, Plumbing, Mechanical Maintenance and Waste Management operations to ensure reliable systems, continuity of service and safety.
