Job summary

AeroVironment is seeking a Facilities Supervisor to manage daily maintenance of our facilities and capital assets, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and safety programs. You will lead a team handling preventative maintenance, audits, and vendor coordination to ensure safe and compliant operations.

The role requires strong leadership, budgeting, and hands-on maintenance experience, with a focus on safety and efficient facilities management across the site.

Qualifications

• Minimum High School diploma or GED equivalent.
• Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
• 5-7 years' experience in a Facilities department role or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
• 2 to 5 years of leading a group of people to achieve tasks, goals, and schedules.
• Experience with budgets and managing expenses; hands-on maintenance experience in electrical, painting, plumbing, carpentry and roofing repairs.
• Ability to read blueprints and understand local building codes and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Provides 24/7 on-call support for facility matters and directs facilities staff.
• Work with Facilities Manager to meet space utilization goals and budget targets.
• Advise on capital needs and manage capital expenditures.
• Ensure compliance with construction codes, safety orders, and environmental impact regulations.
• Manage the Facilities Work Order process and support local operations.
• Lead and mentor facilities staff, conducting annual performance evaluations.
