Job summary

The University of New Mexico’s College of Pharmacy seeks a qualified Facilities Services Manager to coordinate maintenance, operation, and utilization of spaces within the College of Pharmacy. The role requires strong project management, communication, and safety compliance to support educational, research, clinical, and administrative activities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; at least 5 years of related experience.
• Experience working in a complex academic/research facility environment.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Liaises with UNM Facilities Services, Capital Projects, EH&S, IT, Security and other service departments.
• Ensures safety, compliance, and operational efficiency in addressing facility needs.
• Submits ticket requests and coordinates interruptions affecting power, HVAC, plumbing, or labs.
• Provides status updates and timely reports to leadership and stakeholders.
• Monitors compliance with policies, regulations and laws for facilities operations.
• Oversees security measures and coordinates access requests and badge issues.
• Manages vendor performance, quotes, and contract compliance with College purchasing.
• Collaborates on space utilization, planning, and resource management.
• Maintains occupancy records and coordinates room assignments and space allocations.
