Job summary

Universal Hospital Services Inc. is seeking a Facilities Coordinator to support Laurel Heights Hospital. The role covers non-clinical operations including maintenance, housekeeping, dietary, central supply, and compliance with accreditation standards.

You will oversee safety programs, coordinate drills, manage documentation, and help ensure Joint Commission readiness while collaborating with the DPO, CFO, and other leaders. This onsite position requires strong organizational skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or vocational certification preferred.
• 2+ years of facilities, safety, or compliance experience (healthcare preferred).
• Strong knowledge of Joint Commission standards and EOC principles.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead Environment of Care (EOC) and safety compliance processes with monthly and annual plans and reports.
• Conduct monthly EOC rounds and quarterly hospital rounds with interdisciplinary teams.
• Coordinate and document emergency preparedness drills (fire, tornado, bomb threat, active shooter).
• Track and document regulatory and safety documentation; reconcile invoices and maintain audit readiness.
