Job summary

Universal Health Services, Inc. is seeking a Facilities Coordinator to maintain safety, compliance, and operational efficiency across Laurel Heights Hospital.

You will support the Director of Plant Operations and oversee non-clinical areas including maintenance, housekeeping, dietary, and central supply, ensuring accreditation standards are met. The role requires strong organization, communication, and collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or vocational certification preferred.
• 2+ years of facilities, safety, or compliance experience (healthcare preferred).
• Strong knowledge of Joint Commission standards and EOC principles.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) and SharePoint navigation.

Responsibilities

• Lead Environment of Care (EOC) and safety compliance activities, ensuring plans and reports are completed.
• Conduct monthly EOC rounds and quarterly hospital rounds with interdisciplinary teams.
• Coordinate and document emergency preparedness drills (fire, tornado, etc.).
• Monitor and document safety equipment and inspections on a weekly/monthly basis.
• Manage documentation for Joint Commission and state audits, ensuring readiness.
• Coordinate with Accounts Payable, DPO, and CFO for sign-off and tracking.
• Oversee central supply, fleet, and staff education related to EOC.
