Job summary

BGIS is seeking an Assistant Facility Manager to lead maintenance activities and coordinate on-site operations in Dallas, TX and surrounding areas. The role emphasizes safe, compliant project execution, team leadership, and continuous improvement of building systems.

The ideal candidate will hold a bachelor's degree in a relevant field and have extensive facility management experience, including HVAC/electrical work, with strong communication skills and a track record of managing complex

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, FM, construction, engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum five years’ facility management experience.
• Eight years HVAC or electrical experience preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to train teams.

Responsibilities

• Complete assigned projects by allocating resources to meet client requirements.
• Define client project requirements and manage resources.
• Manage projects to completion with schedules and visibility tools.
• Provide updates to internal teams and clients on project status and progress.
• Balance competing client priorities and negotiate compromises.
• Ensure all projects are performed safely per safety policies.
• Oversee the document management process and records.
• Diagnose and repair complex control systems and test modifications.
• Propose retrofits, upgrades or enhancements to equipment.
