Job summary

BGIS is seeking an Assistant Facility Manager to join our team in Dallas, TX and surrounding areas. The role focuses on directing maintenance activities for critical electrical and mechanical systems to ensure uptime and adherence to safety and industry best practices.

You will lead project management efforts, coordinate resources, and provide status updates to clients and internal teams, ensuring safe, compliant operations while balancing client priorities and driving continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, Facilities Management, Construction Management, Engineering or equivalent field of study or work experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead maintenance team activities on basic electrical or mechanical systems to ensure uptime and compliance with best practices.
• Define client project requirements and determine resources needed for the project.
• Manage projects to completion with schedule visibility and client requirements in mind.
• Provide updates to internal team and clients regarding project status and progress.
• Balance competing client production priorities and negotiate compromises among projects.
• Ensure all projects are performed safely and in line with company policies.
• Oversee document management processes and maintain standards.
• Capture events to improve problem/incidents management and proactive maintenance.
• Monitor training consolidation and produce high level reporting.
• Establish KPIs for measurement and verification phases.
• Diagnose and repair complex control system malfunctions and test modifications in multiple system languages.
• Provide proposals for retrofits, upgrades and enhancements to existing equipment.
• Communicate effectively with customers and internal departments.
