Job summary

BGIS is recruiting a Critical Facility Engineer to join the team in Richardson, TX. This on-site position focuses on maintaining essential mechanical, electrical, and life-safety systems within a critical environment facility, including data center operations.

The role requires hands-on technical knowledge and the ability to coordinate with vendors and clients while adhering to BGIS Safety Policy. A High School/GED and relevant experience are required to ensure reliable facility performance.

Qualifications

• Must demonstrate a working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and life safety systems typically used in critical environments.
• High school diploma or equivalent or equivalent work experience required.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite - Word, Excel, Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Maintain critical mechanical, electrical, and life safety systems in a critical environment facility.
• Maintain Data Center Systems and perform routine maintenance.
• Respond to customer service requests in a timely manner and respond to emergency calls.
• Troubleshoot, evaluate and recommend system upgrades.
• Order parts and supplies for maintenance and repairs.
• Work with vendors and contractors to ensure their work meets BGIS and client standards.
• Accurate and timely completion of work order requests.
• Escalate issues to Critical Environment Facility Manager as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.
