Job summary

Nashville General Hospital is seeking a Full Time Building Operations Mechanic to support the Facilities Management team in Nashville, Tennessee. The role maintains plumbing, HVAC, mechanical and electrical systems, following SOPs and safety policies to ensure reliable building operations.

The candidate will troubleshoot and repair facilities components and contribute to improving facility efficiency and workflow. Healthcare experience is preferred and standard benefits apply.

Qualifications

• 5-8 years of related work experience required (working in healthcare preferred).
• High school diploma/GED required.
• Trade school or other work experience.

Responsibilities

• Performs skilled maintenance and repair of complex mechanical, electrical, HVAC, and other physical structures.
• Recommends purchase of maintenance tools, equipment and supplies as required.
• Develops, maintains, and secures a spare parts inventory of basic maintenance hand and power tools.
• Assists supervisors in developing methods and procedures to improve facility efficiency and workflow.
