Nash UNC Health Care is seeking a full-time Plant Maintenance team member to coordinate and perform skilled maintenance across Nash Hospital facilities. This role supports HVAC, electrical, plumbing, boiler, fire detection, and related systems, ensuring safe, reliable operations on-site.

The position emphasizes preventive maintenance, basic carpentry, painting, and system inspections, with duties ranging from equipment testing to small repairs within hospital buildings.

Qualifications

• Education Requirements: High school graduate or GED.
• Licensure/Certifications: Licensed in respective trade by State Department of Labor.
• Professional Experience Requirements: 2 years' experience in selected trade in a commercial setting.

Responsibilities

• Gathers information and coordinates facility projects for Nash Hospital.
• Performs installation, maintenance and repairs on hospital facility and systems.
• Performs preventive maintenance, inspections and instrument readings on equipment, machines, systems and facility.
• Provides for the safety of self and others.
• Promotes positive relations.
• Uses and maintains equipment, tools, materials and supplies.
• Documents work actions and provides support for administrative functions to include logs, records and reports; participates in inventory monitoring.
• As needed, provides technical instruction to other or new employees.
• Performs other duties, such as moving furniture and cleaning areas.
