Job summary

South Dakota State Government seeks a facilities manager for the Construction and Facilities Management Office. The role leads maintenance, HVAC, plumbing, and electrical tasks across SD sites with travel to support Eastern SD facilities.

The incumbent will supervise staff, approve invoices, and ensure safety and compliance with procurement rules. Home stations available in Sioux Falls or Watertown; CAC security required.

Qualifications

• Experience planning, scheduling, and supervising facility repairs or renovations.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction plans.
• Proficiency with MS Office and record keeping/safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Plan, schedule, supervise, and inspect facility repairs and renovations to meet budgets and timelines.
• Monitor maintenance programs and preventive maintenance schedules.
• Oversee custodial, grounds, and security activities; manage fleet and staff performance.
