South Dakota State University (SDState) – Facilities & Services is looking for a Mechanical Engineer to support the operation, maintenance, and repair of the Animal Resource Wing (ARW) and other campus buildings. In this role, you’ll manage facility maintenance, oversee repairs and alterations, and contribute to mechanical project planning and design across campus. This position helps ensure safe, reliable facilities that support the teaching and research mission.
The Energy Systems Division of Facilities and Services manages the production and distribution of heating and cooling for campus. Our staff of engineers and technicians continually assess new technologies and energy options to assure SDSU uses the most efficient and reliable systems both environmentally and fiscally.
This position is located in Brookings, SD and is a 12‑month, full‑time, benefits‑eligible position. Must be authorized to work in the U.S.; sponsorship is not available for this position.
