Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Hotel Restaurant and Institutional Management or Human Relations.
• Five to eight years of related facilities management supervision, scheduling, cost control and budgeting.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Valid vehicle operator's license where needed.
• Knowledge of basic PC terminology and ability to use e-mail and the Internet.

Responsibilities

• Manages facilities operations including housekeeping, maintenance and custodial activities.
• Develops, monitors and controls the facilities budget; prepares reports and forecasts.
• Coordinates long-range maintenance plans with Physical Plant, Construction and Interior Design.
• Interviews, hires, trains, supervises and disciplines staff.
• Inspects buildings to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
• Assists in coordination of events, projects and conference service.
• Interacts with residents, parents, faculty and staff to answer questions and provide information.
• Plans and organizes objectives and long-range programs; reviews budgets and expenditures.
