Job summary

Senior Lifestyle in Michigan is seeking a facilities maintenance supervisor to oversee the physical plant, including building, grounds, and all engineering, while guiding department staff. You will implement preventive maintenance, enforce safety and life-safety standards, manage budgets, and coordinate with contractors to keep the property well maintained and compliant with codes.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of maintenance or plant operations experience.
• Management experience preferred but not required.
• Certified Pool Operator license may be required depending on location.
• You have clear and positive communication with everybody that you encounter.
• You pride yourself on having the ability and responsibility to maintain a clean and functional facility.

Responsibilities

• Oversee maintenance and upkeep of building and grounds.
• Hire, train, supervise, and discipline department staff.
• Coordinate preventative maintenance programs.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal building codes and guidelines.
• Coordinate with contractors and vendors for licenses and insurance.
• Conduct inspections of Life Safety Systems including fire extinguishers and alarms.
• Coordinate housekeeping to maintain high standards of cleanliness.
• Manage department budget and inventory.
