Job summary

KY Lottery Corp is seeking a Facilities Manager to oversee the operation, maintenance, and security of its corporate facility, warehouse, and grounds. The role focuses on ensuring efficient building systems, safety compliance, and continuity planning in a fast-paced environment.

The position requires leadership to manage staff, coordinate with vendors, and drive long-term facility improvements in alignment with executive objectives.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent. Technical/Trade School courses required.
• Minimum of five years’ experience in all areas of facilities, warehouse, and contract management including environmental controls, electrical, HVAC, and plumbing.
• Must have a working knowledge of commercial heating and air conditioning including low pressure boilers and two pipe loop systems.
• Must have working knowledge of all aspects of facilities management and proven experience with budget and project management.
• Must have strong problem solving, trouble shooting, analytical, organizational, and negotiating skills with the ability to work effectively in a customer service driven environment.
• Must have knowledge and experience of Business Continuity & Disaster Recovery Plans and techniques.
• Must have a full working knowledge of emergency power transfer systems and life-safety requirements for computer room operations. Must be able to respond to and resolve emergency situations in a quick, accurate, and safe manner with individual discretion.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license according to KLC policies.

Responsibilities

• Oversees daily operation of building systems including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and life safety systems.
• Works with Facilities personnel to ensure that all environmental equipment including all HVAC equipment is functional and well maintained.
• Maintains all records of equipment that is owned or leased by the KLC and ensures all service intervals and performance levels are met.
• Regularly conducts facility inspections and reviews inspection reports, to determine repairs, replacement, or improvements required.
• Directs contracted projects to ensure adherence to KLC specifications.
• Oversees external vendors, ensuring all contractors follow safety and compliance requirements.
• Oversees daily operation of KLC warehouse, including shipping and receiving.
• Hires, trains, and supervises building service personnel.
• Mentors and develops staff using a supportive and collaborative approach on a consistent basis.
• Plans and administers Facilities departmental budget, tracks expenses, and forecasts maintenance needs.
• Assists with capital planning and long-term facility strategy.
• Develops and implements all necessary policies and procedures for Facilities Department.
• Maintains compliance with all Federal, State, and Local regulations (OSHA, fire code, ADA, etc.).
• Coordinates required inspections (building code, fire systems, elevator, etc.) and maintains accurate documentation, reports, and compliance records.
• Monitors all contracts assigned to the Facilities department regarding compliance, expiration, renewal, and amendments.
• Coordinates with other business unit counterparts to develop, implement, maintain, and regularly exercise all elements of the KLC’s Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery plans.
