Job summary

The City of Chanhassen seeks a Facilities Maintenance Supervisor to plan, organize, and oversee the maintenance, repair, and operation of City-owned buildings and related infrastructure. You will coordinate with City divisions, contractors, and vendors to keep facilities safe, functional, and able to support public services.

Responsibilities include supervising staff, managing budgets and assets, ensuring ADA and safety compliance, and directing preventive maintenance and capital projects.

Qualifications

• Two years of experience in facilities maintenance.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office products.
• Ability to communicate with staff, public officials, contractors and others with tact.
• Ability to work in a team and prioritize tasks.

Responsibilities

• Perform and/or manage contracted general maintenance and minor construction to meet standards.
• Respond to emergencies and after-hours calls as needed.
• Manage contracts for pest control, waste management, HVAC maintenance, and security.
• Track budgeting for capital and operating expenses and monitor utilities.
• Ensure ADA compliance and assist with inspections.
• Oversee snow/ice removal for building entrances and sidewalks.
• Provide tenant feedback to City leadership and oversee tenant improvements.
• Maintain facilities asset records and use OpenGov system.
