Job summary

HealthWorks for Northern Virginia is a non-profit FQHC serving underserved populations. We are seeking a Facilities Operations Manager to lead day-to-day management, maintenance, safety, and readiness of all HealthWorks facilities to support patient care and organizational operations.

You will oversee preventive maintenance, coordinate HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems, manage vendors and contractors, and ensure regulatory and safety compliance.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operation, maintenance, and overall condition of HealthWorks facilities.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for facility-related maintenance, repairs, and safety concerns.
• Maintain records of inspections, preventive maintenance, repairs, work orders, warranties, and budgets.
• Conduct routine rounds and inspections to identify concerns and ensure corrective action.
• Develop and maintain a comprehensive preventive maintenance program for facilities and major building systems.
• Coordinate maintenance of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and other systems for safe operations.
• Manage the facility work order process, set priorities, and monitor completion.
• Prioritize and coordinate emergency repairs to minimize disruption to patient care and operations.
• Identify facility deficiencies and opportunities for improvement beyond reported requests.
• Identify opportunities to improve facility efficiency, conserve energy, and reduce costs.
