Job summary

Delmarva Power & Light Co. seeks a Facilities Manager to oversee the daily operation and security of a diverse portfolio of occupied buildings and substations.

You will lead a facilities team, coordinate with internal departments, manage budgets, and ensure reliable utility systems through preventive maintenance and safety programs. The role emphasizes cost targets, contractor management, and continuous improvement in the delivery of services for Exelon's portfolio.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related field or equivalent experience.
• Experience in facilities management planning, scheduling and maintenance of facility equipment.
• Effective performance management and supervisory experience.
• Ability to optimize processes using technology and performance improvement.
• Ability to negotiate with contractors and service providers.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.
• Proven track record in achieving business goals and leading change.

Responsibilities

• Develop life cycle cost analyses for facility planning and location optimization.
• Plan and schedule maintenance staff and ensure preventive maintenance.
• Develop emergency preparedness and evacuation plans.
• Prepare specifications, evaluate bids, and manage vendor contracts.
• Provide leadership and performance feedback to Facilities team.
• Coordinate with internal departments and external partners.
• Implement effective communication and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Manage O&M and capital budgets for the area.
• Monitor performance indicators and oversee facilities management partners.
