Job summary

City of Dallas is seeking a Park Maintenance Supervisor to oversee park maintenance and staff, ensuring timely completion of tasks across facilities and landscapes. You will supervise crews, handle daily administrative duties, and coordinate with contractors for events and projects.

The role requires 4 years of experience in maintaining public facilities and a Texas Driver's License; a High School Diploma or GED is required.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of equipment, tools, methods and practices used in various construction repairs.
• Maintaining and operating hand and power tools.
• Knowledge and understanding of safety procedures
• Supervising, leading, directing, evaluating, and training crews, staff, and subordinate personnel.

Responsibilities

• Supervises, administers, and manages park maintenance daily tasks; handles communications, processes work orders and time sheets.
• Conducts park quality inspections, supervises projects, site visits for contracts and events, operates heavy and small equipment as needed.
• Provides on-the-job training to ensure quality of maintenance work and assists with timekeeping and assignments.
• Performs clerical functions for maintenance crews; documents inspections, projects, reports; assists with bidding and cost estimating.
• Processes and approves employee requests; manages timecards; addresses performance issues; evaluates performance and recommends awards or promotions.
• Serves on committees to improve parks and facilities; provides input and recommendations.
• Provides customer service and handles hazardous situations professionally.
• Performs other tasks as required.
