Job summary

State of Indiana is seeking a Facilities Operations Supervisor for New Castle Correctional Facility. The role oversees daily repair and preventive maintenance across multiple trades, guides a team, and ensures safety and compliance across facilities.

The position is a Monday–Friday day shift (7am–3pm) with rotating on-call. It includes training, career progression, competitive benefits, and a path to leadership within statewide operations.

Qualifications

• Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) required or able to obtain.
• Advanced knowledge of trades related to installation, inspection, repair and maintenance of electrical, plumbing and related systems.
• Thorough knowledge of safety precautions for related work.
• Ability to plan long-range maintenance, schedules and priorities.

Responsibilities

• Plan work schedules based on priorities and deadlines for facility and maintenance services.
• Identify resource needs and allocate resources with management.
• Develop and implement preventative maintenance and safety inspection programs.
• Administer budgets for maintenance and repair.
• Supervise staff and supervise incarcerated individuals as needed.
• Build vendor relationships and manage purchasing and bidding procedures.
