Job summary

Johnson Controls, Inc. is seeking an Operations Manager to oversee the facility management of a new electric vehicle battery plant in Glendale, KY. The role focuses on hard services of MEP equipment, ensuring equipment performs to spec to support uninterrupted manufacturing and admin functions.

You will lead a team of technical staff and schedulers, plan preventative maintenance, manage budgets, and coordinate with engineers and the client to align with contract requirements and policies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical or mechanical engineering or equivalent.
• 10+ years of facility management experience.
• 5 years of HVAC, facilities, housing or related industry experience.
• 2 years of management leadership experience.
• Knowledge of OSHA codes and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Provide strong customer service mindset and clear communication.
• Lead and mentor a technical staff and schedulers.
• Oversee preventative maintenance, lifecycles, and budgets.
• Ensure O&M work meets contract requirements and policies.
• Read blueprints and as-built drawings.
• Coordinate with trades, engineers and customers to meet expectations.
• Manage change orders and post-construction warranty activities.
• Develop monthly performance reports and procedures.
