Job summary

Responsibilities

• Oversees building maintenance, facility design and construction, space upkeep and planning.
• Coordinates IT vendor oversight and event safety and security.
• Ensures 24/7/365 operational coverage and liaises with multiple MIT support units for services (grounds, custodial, repair and maintenance, HVAC, plumbing, pest control, recycling, electrical, environmental health and safety, fire protection, facilities engineering).
• Relays shutdown and emergency notifications and represents the department to the Office of Campus Planning for improvement and master planning.
