Job summary

Boston Medical Center is seeking an Engineering/Facilities Intern currently pursuing a BS in Facilities/Mechanical Engineering. You will support Operations & Construction projects, update CAD floor plans, and help build a comprehensive Preventative Maintenance Program for the 20+ buildings on campus.

The role includes assisting with BAS/DDC, CMMS expansion, and data management, while ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

Currently pursuing a BS in Facilities/ Mechanical Engineering. Proof of enrollment may be required.
Strong understanding of building systems and mechanical/ facilities operations.
Familiarity with CAD, CMMS, BAS/DDC and data management is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide support for BAS/DDC operations and MEP activities across the campus.
Assist in troubleshooting BAS with Control Center staff and management.
Assist in audits of BAS operations to ensure proper sequencing and alarms.
Assist development and expansion of the CMMS for campus facilities.
Maintain documentation for blueprints, manuals, and critical historical data under supervision.
Support management in improving operations through technology and data analysis.
Establish internship goals with supervisor and peers.
Monitor energy efficiency and assist with CMMS efficacy assessments.
