Job summary

Boston Medical Center is seeking an Engineering/Facilities Intern currently pursuing a BS in Facilities/Mechanical Engineering. Under supervision of the Facilities Operations Department, you will assist in Operations & Construction projects, update CAD-based floor plans, and help build the Preventive Maintenance Program for the 20+ buildings on campus.

Qualifications

• Pursuing BS in Facilities/Mechanical Engineering.
• Enrollment and letter of recommendation may be required for selected candidate.

Responsibilities

• Provides support from a technology and MEP operations perspective for ongoing operations of the BAS/DDC for the Medical Center campus.
• Assists management to perform audits of the BAS and ensure alarms are not overridden or modified.
• Develops and expands the CMMS for all campus facilities; maintains inventory and documentation.
• Supports the central database of blueprints, manuals, CAD files, and other critical data under supervision.
• Establishes internship goals in collaboration with supervisors.
• Performs duties to support safety, compliance, and quality in hospital facilities.
