Job summary

OSU Foundation seeks a Facilities Operations Assistant in Stillwater to coordinate building and grounds activities, perform routine repairs, manage vendor services, and ensure safe, clean work environments. This role supports daily operations, long-term planning, and business continuity for OSU Foundation facilities.

Ideal candidate has 0–2 years in facilities ops, basic mechanical/electrical knowledge, strong communication, and proficiency with MS Office; valid Oklahoma driver’s license

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Current Oklahoma State University student pursuing an associate or bachelor’s degree in facilities management, engineering, construction management, or a related field.
• Experience with building systems, preventive maintenance programs, or vendor coordination is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee building operations including scheduling, maintenance, and monitoring of HVAC, water, electric, elevator, generator and other systems.
• Coordinate grounds and parking lot maintenance, landscape, irrigation, and trash pickup; manage third-party contractor support.
• Support sustainability initiatives and manage multiple projects, possibly including weekend or evening work.
• Perform routine repairs and coordinate vendor services to ensure safe, clean facilities.
