Job summary

PACS is seeking a Maintenance Director to plan, organize, and direct the Maintenance Department. The role ensures safe, compliant operation of the facility and coordination with other departments to support resident care.

Responsibilities include budgeting, safety oversight, and maintaining facility standards for regulatory compliance, equipment upkeep, and MSDS management. This is a full-time on-site position in New York.

Qualifications

• Must have at least a high school education or equivalent.
• Minimum of three (3) years of supervisory experience in maintenance/plant-related role.
• Knowledge of boilers, compressors, generators, and electrical/plumbing systems.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
• Knowledge of building codes and safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Ensure maintenance schedules are followed for respective shift or area.
• Develop and maintain written maintenance policies and procedures.
• Coordinate maintenance services with other departments (Dietary, Nursing, Activities, etc.).
• Assume administrative authority for directing the Maintenance Department.
• Supervise safety and fire protection programs; inspect areas weekly.
• Review and develop plans of correction for deficiencies noted in surveys.
