Zusammenfassung

PACS is seeking a Maintenance Department leader to plan, organize, and direct maintenance operations across the facility. You will oversee safety, budgets, and compliance with federal, state, and local standards, ensuring a safe, clean, and compliant environment for residents and staff.

Responsibilities include managing schedules, coordinating with departments, supervising vendors, and driving continuous improvement in maintenance processes. Strong supervisory and technical knowledge required.

Qualifikationen

• Must possess, as a minimum, a high school education or its equivalent.
• Minimum of three (3) years of experience in a supervisory capacity in a maintenance/plant-related position.
• Knowledge of boilers, compressors, generators, etc., as well as various mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
• Must have the ability to read and interpret blueprints.
• Must be knowledgeable in building codes and safety regulations.

Aufgaben

• Ensure maintenance schedules are followed as outlined for respective shift or area.
• Develop and maintain written maintenance policies and procedures.
• Plan, develop, organize, implement, evaluate, and direct the Maintenance Department, its programs, and activities.
• Coordinate maintenance services with other departments (Dietary, Nursing, Activities, etc.).
• Assume administrative authority, responsibility, and accountability of directing the Maintenance Department.
• Assist Infection Control Coordinator in identifying and classifying routine maintenance tasks involving exposure to blood/body fluids.
• Inspect storage rooms, workrooms, and closets for upkeep and supply control.
• Participate in facility surveys and provide written correction plans to the Administrator.
• Ensure outside vendors are supervised per contracts/work orders.
• Meet maintenance staff regularly and solicit input to improve services.
• Review and check competence of maintenance personnel and adjust as needed.
• Make daily rounds to ensure duties are performed properly.
• Maintain productive relationships with department supervisors and coordinate services.
• Supervise safety and fire protection programs; monitor equipment and safety practices.
• Ensure proper use of safety equipment when lifting or moving heavy objects.
• Maintain safe and comfortable environment; report equipment damage promptly.
• Maintain MSDSs, proper labeling, and storage for hazardous chemicals.
• Train personnel on safety precautions and MSDS usage.
• Develop and implement infection control policies and universal precautions in maintenance.
• Ensure staff training before performing tasks involving exposure to hazards.
• Be prepared for emergencies and schedule adjustments.
• Monitor waste usage to avoid inefficiency and waste.
• Assist in budgeting for equipment, supplies, and labor; report to Administrator.
• Maintain accurate financial records and cost reports.
