Job summary

Sargent Manufacturing, a leader in commercial door hardware, is seeking an experienced Facilities Operations Specialist to drive work order management, parts procurement, and CMMS optimization. The role focuses on maintaining data accuracy, enforcing vendor SLAs, and delivering data-driven insights to the Facilities Manager.

The position is onsite in New Haven, CT, full-time, reporting to the Facilities Manager.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years of experience in external facilities operations or maintenance dispatch within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Proven hands-on experience configuring, customizing, or administering enterprise CMMS/IWMS platforms (Planon, Maximo, eMaint, Fiix).
• Inventory and parts procurement experience, supplier timelines, and spend tracking.
• Experience managing high-volume maintenance tickets across trades and site services.

Responsibilities

• Configure the CMMS as the technical authority and build workflows with clean data.
• Triage, prioritize, and assign work orders across building systems and support operations.
• Source, order, and track maintenance parts to prevent delays.
• Audit vendor SLAs and KPIs, and present performance dashboards to leadership.
• Package work order volume, parts spend, and trends into executive-ready KPI reports.
• Coordinate work tracking with plant production and union mechanics.
• Monitor SLAs to ensure rapid emergency dispatch and minimize open orders.
• Support vendor SLAs by writing scopes of work and evaluating quotes.
• Ensure external crews provide OSHA and Lockout/Tagout safety documentation before work begins.
