Job summary

Ramapo College of New Jersey is seeking a full-time Boiler Room Supervisor to oversee the operation, maintenance and repair of steam boilers, chillers and related equipment in the central plant. You will ensure safety, maintain logs, perform routine chemical treatments, and coordinate with trades staff to deliver reliable campus services.

Three years of experience in building systems and a NJ Driver's license are required.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of developing and maintaining safe and efficient work programs for employees performing carpentry, plumbing, steamfitting, refrigeration, painting, electrical, masonry, grounds work.
• Knowledge of boilers and heating plants, including methods to perform repairs.
• Knowledge of chemical testing and treatment programs.
• Ability to interpret blueprints and specifications.
• Ability to prepare cost estimates and budgets.

Responsibilities

• Supervise Boiler Room Staff.
• Operate and maintain steam boilers, water chillers and related equipment.
• Complete daily logs and maintain records of operating parameters.
• Conduct daily tests and maintain chemical treatment records.
• Assign and instruct maintenance staff across trades.
