Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED strongly preferred.
• Vocational training or on-the-job training in mechanical maintenance.
• Must be able to read and follow drawings, blueprints and written specifications.
• Blue seal refrigeration license required; blue seal boiler or higher preferred.
• Math and computer skills are preferred.
• Minimum 1 year experience as a maintenance mechanic in an industrial environment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain uninterrupted operations of steam generation, compressed air, water treatment, chilled water and refrigeration systems.
• Collaborate with plant, facilities and production management and maintenance teams; report issues to Plant Management.
• Work at various levels and environments, including roof work and confined spaces; use ladders, lifts and equipment.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance, tune and calibrate equipment; replace components as needed.
• Test and service utility systems; ensure compliance with GMP and safety standards.
• Record faults and maintenance actions; generate work orders and verify problem resolution.
