Job summary

Sysco Houston is seeking an Operations leader to supervise the maintenance and reliability of our facility, grounds, security, and critical equipment. You will oversee maintenance staff, coordinate with third-party providers, and ensure safety, regulatory compliance and cost control.

Responsibilities include scheduling, budget monitoring, emergency response coordination, and continuous improvement of facility systems such as HVAC, ammonia and electrical networks.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Minimum 5 years of maintenance experience.
• Valid driver's license with clean record.
• Experience with facility systems and safety compliance is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manages the daily work and safety of associates engaged in building, grounds, sanitation, refrigeration, power equipment, MHE, automation and security.
• Oversees labor hours and consumable supplies within budget.
• Prepares work schedules including extra work days and shifts as needed.
• Coordinates emergency response and liaises with local emergency management authorities.
• Maintains vendor relationships and ensures upgrades and repairs are completed efficiently.
• Establishes preventive maintenance schedules for HVAC, ammonia systems, electrical, and security.
• Ensures compliance with OSHA, EPA and other regulatory requirements.
