Job summary

Foxconn Industrial Internet - FII in Houston seeks a Facilities Mechanical Engineer to support operation, maintenance, and improvement of building mechanical systems, HVAC, and manufacturing automation. You will update drawings, implement preventive maintenance, and collaborate with contractors.

The role includes PLC programming, documentation, energy-management support (ISO 50001), and involvement in Lean/Industry 4.0 initiatives within a production environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• Experience with HVAC and industrial cooling systems.
• Experience in PLC programming (Siemens, Allen-Bradley, Omron or similar).
• Ability to read, interpret, and update mechanical and electrical drawings.
• Hands-on experience with industrial mechanical equipment assembly/disassembly.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and coordination skills.
• Experience in industrial automation or controls engineering.

Responsibilities

• Support operation, maintenance, and optimization of building mechanical systems (HVAC and cooling).
• Assemble and disassemble industrial mechanical equipment for installs or upgrades.
• Update building mechanical drawings and documentation.
• Develop and implement preventive maintenance for facilities.
• Monitor stock levels and coordinate parts procurement.
• Coordinate with contractors and vendors and evaluate quotes.
• Provide technical input to stakeholders and partners.
• Support ISO 50001 energy management and continuous improvement.
• Design and support automation systems used in production and facility processes.
• Develop, modify, and troubleshoot PLC programs (Siemens, Allen-Bradley, Omron).
• Commission automated equipment and control systems.
• Maintain electrical/control schematics and records.
• Contribute to OEE/Lean/Industry 4.0 initiatives.
• Support project reviews and document updates.
• Assist cross-functional problem-solving on facility and automation issues.
• Participate in root cause analysis and corrective actions.
