Job summary

Oregon Department of Transportation seeks a Building Manager to oversee the Mill Creek building, Salem Materials Lab, and Milwaukie Lab. You will analyze facility needs, shape policies, manage budgets, coordinate with contractors, and act as the site emergency coordinator.

You’ll develop floor plans, track expenditures, manage contracts, and support safety programs while engaging with management and staff across multiple facilities.

Qualifications

• Experience managing facilities and coordinating multi‑phase projects.
• Strong communication and vendor management skills.
• Ability to develop budgets, plan projects and oversee contracts.
• Experience with safety, emergency response and ADA considerations.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement strategic facility plans for three sites.
• Track facility expenditures and support budget planning.
• Coordinate with staff/contractors for building issues and security systems.
• Serve as contract administrator for facility-related services and leases.
• Provide project management oversight for relocations and upgrades.
