Job summary

Cowtown Materials, Inc. is seeking a Safety Manager to lead safety and compliance programs within a defined geographic area, with emphasis on promoting policies and processes for safety in accordance with OSHA, DOT, and EPA guidelines.

The role involves training, audits, and driving a culture of safety across our Portland area operations. The Safety Manager will work with local managers to monitor programs, conduct weekly safety meetings, and ensure adherence to federal and state regulations,

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of related work experience.
• Strong Microsoft Office skills.
• Demonstrated knowledge of the construction industry and building materials.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain relationships with local managers and employees; identify safety exposures and promote safe conditions.
• Coordinate investigations of major accidents and losses and develop root-cause strategies.
• Remain knowledgeable about OSHA, DOT, EPA regulations and ensure compliance.
