Job summary

Oregon Department of Transportation is seeking a Compliance and Regulatory Manager 3 to lead the Roadside Enforcement & Safety Compliance Branch. The role will manage a large, dispersed team and a substantial budget while shaping statewide enforcement strategies and policy alignment with regulations.

Qualifications

• Seven years of supervision, management, or progressively related experience in compliance and regulatory activities.
• OR Four years of related experience in compliance and regulatory activities and a bachelor’s degree in a related field.

Responsibilities

• Develop statewide strategies for enforcing motor carrier tax, registration, size and weight laws.
• Manage Commerce and Compliance Division facilities statewide, including maintenance, capital improvements, and equipment operations.
• Formulate and revise commercial vehicle enforcement safety policies and procedures.
• Identify legislative issues and provide expert input on proposed state and federal laws affecting motor carriers.
• Assist in preparing and administering biennial and annual budgets.
• Oversee financial planning for the Safety and Enforcement branch.
• Oversee contracts for facility and roadway repairs; coordinate with procurement.
• Manage federal grants such as MSCAP and oversee subcontractors.
