Job summary

Conrad’s Crabs in Abingdon, MD is seeking a seasoned Facilities Manager to oversee maintenance of building systems across four locations. You will supervise maintenance staff, coordinate contractors, and implement preventive maintenance to ensure safety and compliance.

You must have strong knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and refrigeration, read blueprints, manage budgets, and uphold EPA 608 standards. This full-time role requires leadership and a focus on energy efficiency.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in facilities management or building maintenance.
• Strong technical knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and refrigeration systems.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
• Familiarity with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems).
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Strong communication, organizational, and leadership abilities.
• HVAC/R certification (EPA 608 required).
• Journeyman or Master Electrician license (if applicable).
• Plumbing certification or license.
• Facilities Management credentials (CFM, FMP, or equivalent).

Responsibilities

• Oversee maintenance of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and refrigeration across 4 locations.
• Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair electrical components per NEC standards.
• Maintain plumbing systems and respond to leaks and water quality issues.
• Manage HVAC operation, maintenance, and energy efficiency.
• Maintain and repair commercial refrigeration units.
• Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs.
• Manage facility budgets and vendor contracts.
• Coordinate external contractors and service providers.
• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and building codes.
• Respond to emergency maintenance to minimize downtime.
• Implement energy-saving strategies and monitor utilities.
• Oversee facility upgrades and capital projects.
