Job summary

LEGENDS GLOBAL in Huntington, WV, seeks a Facilities Manager to lead hands-on maintenance for the Marshall Health Network Arena and adjacent convention center. You will troubleshoot, repair, and maintain building systems while ensuring continuous readiness for live events.

This role reports to the Assistant General Manager and requires strong problem-solving, safety awareness, and the ability to work evenings and weekends as event calendars dictate. A competitive compensation package is offered.

Qualifications

• 3-5+ years of hands-on commercial facility maintenance or operations experience.
• High school diploma, GED, or vocational trade school completion required.
• Experience with HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and kitchen equipment maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day maintenance and repair of building systems to ensure safety and efficiency.
• Perform facility walkthroughs to identify maintenance needs and safety hazards.
• Coordinate and supervise third-party contractors for specialized repairs or capital projects.
• Ensure vendor work meets safety codes, timelines, budgets, and venue standards.
• Enforce local building codes and life-safety guidelines across spaces.
• Partner with operations and event-services teams to prep venue for events.
• Support flexible event-driven work schedule including evenings and weekends.
