Job summary

Ayr Wellness, Inc. in Parma, OH is seeking a Facilities Manager to lead maintenance, safety, and capital projects. This role reports to Operations and owns infrastructure systems, budgets, and performance alignment with business goals.

The ideal candidate will manage a maintenance team, develop SOPs, oversee contractor work, and drive continuous improvement while ensuring regulatory standards are met in a fast-paced cannabis manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred. Equivalent combination of work and education experience accepted.
• 7–10 years of facilities management experience, preferably in agriculture, biotech, cannabis, or regulated manufacturing.
• Experience with CMMS/work order systems (MaintainX preferred).

Responsibilities

• Own and manage the overall safety environment for the facility, facility grounds, and safety for the maintenance department.
• Collaborate with National Leaders to provide strategic direction and overall maintenance management of the facility, grounds, and all physical infrastructure.
• Manage and oversee all contractor projects, major construction projects, and capital expenditure (CapEx) initiatives.
• Own and manage the full facility maintenance budget, including forecasting, variance reporting, and cost control.
• Lead the hiring, development, evaluation, and performance management of the maintenance team.
• Establish and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) and preventive maintenance programs for all equipment and systems.
• Own and maintain all assets within MaintainX, including asset records, work history, and system integrity.
• Partner with the National team on equipment procurement, installation, and facility improvement initiatives.
• Ensure all work areas meet safety, cleanliness, and regulatory standards.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to eliminate waste and improve facility efficiency.
• Serve as the primary escalation point for facility breakdowns after hours, on weekends, and holidays.
• Other duties as assigned.
