Northrop Grumman is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Manager 1 at the Huntsville, AL site. The role oversees daily maintenance operations, balancing safety, reliability, and cost; leads a small team of technicians, coordinates with vendors, and ensures regulatory compliance.

This position requires a Secret clearance and offers relocation assistance as applicable. The candidate will plan preventive and corrective maintenance, monitor KPIs, support budgeting, and drive continuous improvement while

Qualifications

• Active U.S. Government Secret Clearance or higher within last 5 years.
• Bachelor's or higher in facilities management, engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Experience with CMMS/work-order systems and maintenance planning/scheduling.
• Ability to support on-call/after-hours needs as required.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a maintenance team with daily direction and feedback.
• Plan, prioritize, and schedule preventive and corrective maintenance using CMMS.
• Maintain building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, life safety, etc.).
• Coordinate and oversee vendor work; manage service contracts and bids.
• Monitor and enforce safety programs; drive a safety-first culture.
• Respond to facility emergencies and coordinate root-cause actions.
• Track KPIs (PM completion, response time, backlog, uptime).
• Assist budgeting, cost control, parts inventory, and procurement.
• Support facility projects with minimal operational disruption.
• Maintain documentation, permits, and compliance with codes (OSHA, NFPA, AHJ).
• Collaborate with site leadership to align priorities with business needs.
• Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities.
