Job summary

Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking a Facilities Manager 1 for the Huntsville, AL site. The role focuses on overseeing day-to-day maintenance, ensuring safety, reliability, and cost-effective facility performance.

You will supervise technicians and contractors, manage preventive and corrective maintenance, and coordinate with vendors while upholding safety and regulatory standards. Relocation assistance may be available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher required; combination with experience considered.
• Experience with CMMS or work-order systems and planning/scheduling.
• Knowledge of safety regulations applicable to facility operations.
• Active U.S. Government Secret Clearance or higher preferred/required.
• Valid driver's license and ability to support after-hours needs.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a maintenance team with daily direction and performance feedback.
• Plan and schedule preventive and corrective maintenance using CMMS/work orders.
• Maintain building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, life safety) to uptime targets.
• Coordinate vendors, manage contracts, and obtain competitive bids.
• Enforce safety programs and drive a safety-first culture.
