Overview
WORK SHIFT: First Shift (United States of America). The Facilities Manager – Manufacturing is responsible for overseeing the maintenance and operations of our manufacturing plant, ensuring facilities are well-maintained, safe, efficient, and compliant with safety regulations.
Essential Job Functions
- Develop and implement maintenance schedules and preventive maintenance programs aligned with the company’s long‑term goals and objectives.
- Lead, manage, and mentor facilities teams, fostering a collaborative, high‑performance culture through direction, support, and professional development opportunities.
- Report to senior management and key stakeholders to ensure alignment and support for project initiatives.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate risks to ensure project success and continuity.
- Manage budgets and expenses related to facility maintenance and improvement projects.
- Plan and execute capital improvement projects to enhance efficiency, productivity, and safety.
- Optimize the allocation of resources, including personnel, equipment, and budget, to maximize project efficiency.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance project management processes and methodologies.
- Ensure all projects comply with industry regulations, safety standards, and quality requirements; collaborate with Environmental Health and Safety.
- Coordinate with other departments to minimize downtime and ensure efficient operations.
- Procure necessary parts and supplies for maintenance and repairs.
- Develop and implement emergency response and business continuity plans to ensure the safety and security of the facility.
- Maintain reliable and consistent attendance, including punctuality and dependability to meet department and organization needs.
- Execute each essential duty satisfactorily to perform the job successfully.
- Follow all safety procedures required in the work area, wear PPE as needed, attend safety meetings, and report safety issues regarding equipment or unsafe/hazardous conditions.
- Perform effectively as a team member, work well with others, be open to receiving and giving feedback, and treat everyone with respect.
- Take ownership of own work and behavior, accept accountability for own actions, encourage solutions, and communicate status of work/projects.

Additional Responsibilities
- Handle emergency response and first aid situations.
- Work overtime as needed and remain flexible to possible schedule changes to meet business needs.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from a four‑year accredited college or university and 5 to 8 years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of training, education, and experience in Engineering, Facility Management, or a manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of facilities management, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of plastic processing equipment such as cooling towers, central chillers, and air compressors.
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
- Ability to adapt and adjust plans to meet changing needs.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and facility/asset management software and tools.
- Strong knowledge of building systems, including HVAC, electrical, and mechanical.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bilingual in Spanish.
- Proficiency and recent experience with AS400.
Physical Demands
Sitting, walking, standing, bending at the neck, bending at the waist, squatting, climbing, kneeling, twisting at the neck and waist, repetitive use of hands, simple grasping, power grasping, fine manipulation, pushing and pulling, reaching above and below the shoulder, carrying or lifting up to 75 lbs. Driving cars, trucks, forklifts and other equipment. Working around equipment and machinery. Exposure to excessive noise, dust, gas, fumes, or chemicals. Working at heights. Use of special visual or auditory protective equipment. PPE requirements include safety glasses, utility gloves or cutting gloves, steel‑toe slip‑resistant shoes, hardhat, hearing protection (e.g., ear plugs or ear muffs), face shields, and face covering (mask) in accordance with company policy.
Compensation Range
$85,000 – $110,000; salary may vary based on experience.
