Job summary

Job description

The Facility Manager is responsible for the overall maintenance, safety, and operation of the manufacturing plant. This role involves managing facility maintenance, coordinating with vendors, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, and supporting operational needs to keep production running smoothly.

Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Oversee daily facility operations, including maintenance, repairs, and improvements.
  • Monitoring the safety and cleanliness of interior and exterior areas, such as offices, conference rooms, parking lots and outdoor recreation spaces.
  • Manage relationships with external contractors, vendors, and service providers.
  • Scheduling routine inspections and emergency repairs with vendors.
  • Collaborating with building owners and upper management on budgeting for facilities needs.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, environmental, and other regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs for all equipment and infrastructure.
  • Performing routine maintenance on facilities and making repairs as needed.
  • Coordinate space planning and facility modifications to support production changes.
  • Monitor and manage facility budgets, including expenses related to utilities, maintenance, and capital projects.
  • Lead safety initiatives and training programs for facility staff.
  • Respond promptly to facility emergencies and coordinate disaster recovery efforts.
  • Collaborate with production, engineering, and other departments to support operational needs.
  • Maintaining day-to-day operations of facilities, such as delegating or completing maintenance orders.
  • Creating reports on maintenance, repairs, safety and other occurrences for supervisors and other relevant staff.
  • Delegating cleaning and maintenance tasks to team members
Requirements:
  • Degree in industrial engineering, Business or related field required.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in facility management, preferably in manufacturing or industrial environments.
  • Strong knowledge of building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, etc.) and industrial safety standards.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient with facility management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience planning and maintaining facility budgets
Physical Requirements:
