Responsible for ensuring the facilities are well-maintained, safe, and efficient, and managing all aspects of facility operations, including maintenance, security, and compliance with safety regulations.**ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS*** Develop and implement maintenance schedules and preventive maintenance programs that align with the company’s long-term goals and objectives.* Lead, manage, and mentor facilities teams, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture through direction, support, and professional development opportunities.* Reports to senior management and key stakeholders to ensure alignment and support for project initiatives.* Identify, assess, and mitigate risks to ensure project success and continuity.* Manage budgets and expenses related to facility maintenance and improvement projects.* Plan and execute capital improvement projects to enhance efficiency, productivity, and safety.* Optimize the allocation of resources, including personnel, equipment, and budget, to maximize project efficiency.* Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance project management processes and methodologies.* Ensure all projects comply with industry regulations, safety standards, and quality requirements; collaborate with Environmental Health and Safety.* Coordinate with other departments to minimize downtime and ensure efficient operations* Procure necessary parts and supplies for maintenance and repairs.* Develop and implement emergency response and business continuity plans to ensure the safety and security of the facility.* Maintain reliable and consistent attendance, including being punctual, and dependable in order to meet the needs of the department and the organization.* Execute each essential duty satisfactorily in order to perform job successfully.* Follows all safety procedures required in work area, wears PPE as needed, attends all safety meetings, and reports safety issues regarding equipment or unsafe/hazardous conditions.* Performs effectively as a team member, able to work well with others, open to receive and give feedback, and treats everyone with respect.* Takes ownership of own work and behavior, accepts accountability for own actions, encourages solutions, and communicates status of work/projects.* Follow all department quality standards/criteria. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.* Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from a four-year accredited college or university and 5 to 8 years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of training, education, and experience in Engineering, Facility Management, or a manufacturing environment.* Strong understanding of facilities management, preferably in a manufacturing environment.* Knowledge of plastic processing equipment such as Cooling Towers, Central Chillers, and Air Compressors* Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.* Ability to adapt and adjust plans to meet changing needs.* Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and facility/ Asset management software and tools.* Strong knowledge of building systems, including HVAC, electrical, and mechanical.**PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS*** Bilingual in Spanish.* Proficient and recent experience with AS400.**Physical Demands**The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
