Shift: M-F 8 am - 4:30 pm

Salary: 60,000 - 75,000

Job Summary


A Facilities Manager interacts with customers, provides information about the organization’s services, and may respond to customer complaints if needed. This role devises strategies and policies to ensure that an organization meets its goals by planning, directing, and coordinating daily operational activities. Problem-solving is required to identify issues and recognize shortcomings and effectively carry out solutions. People in this role assess different options and choose the best course of action, often on a daily basis. He or she must be able to communicate clearly and persuasively to effectively discuss issues and negotiate with others, and explain their policies and decisions to those within and outside the organization. They will take a hands-on approach and perform various tasks within the Facilities, as well as direct the maintenance and repair of the buildings and equipment including HVAC, general maintenance and renovation. This position will also manage the Facilities team members at multiple locations.

  • Develop and manage a preventative and corrective maintenance management program utilizing an up-to-date CMMS system to assign daily duties to vendors and in-house staff. Maintenance job plans will ensure accurate asset listing and work plans including safety precautions (JHA).
  • Inspect facility and generate reports as required.
  • Assist in planning best allocation and utilization of space and resources, re-organizing current premises, etc.;
  • Prepare documents for maintenance and vendor selections, calculating and comparing costs for required goods and/or services to achieve maximum value. Ensures vendors meet strict compliance requirements of our client.
  • Ensure that all in-house and contracted personnel are appropriately trained for the work they are performing.
  • Develop and Maintain an accurate library of building and system drawings
  • Assist in coordination of projects with property management teams as required at various properties;
  • Assist in development of policies and procedures that affect the use of supplies and facilities
  • Inspects work by contractors, vendors or team members has been completed satisfactorily and follow up on any deficiencies.
  • Takes responsibility for all aspects of scope of work, even if day to day management is by "others", including work performed by the landlord.

The Facilities Manager will oversee daily operations that include:

  • Site services
  • Finances, including forecasting, budget, and invoicing
  • Vendor management
  • Janitorial program
  • Light building maintenance
  • Team leader / managing a small staff
  • Inventory management
  • Oversight of CMMS
  • Candidate must have 10 plus years managing in a manufacturing environment
