Job summary

Fishbeck is seeking an experienced Facilities Manager in Michigan to lead and enhance our facilities operations across multiple offices. You will develop programs, oversee renovations, and coordinate with internal teams, vendors, and property managers to support daily operations and future growth.

Ideal candidates bring 10+ years of facilities management experience, strong budgeting and project-management skills, and a collaborative leadership style.

Responsibilities

• Develop, document, and implement facility management programs.
• Operate facility programs that address staff requests with efficient service.
• Plan, direct, and oversee office renovations, construction, expansions, and moves.
• Manage facility-related partners including internal teams, vendors, and property managers.
• Leverage data and feedback to drive workplace solutions.
• Lead and mentor facilities professionals to support program growth.
• Occasional travel to regional offices.
• Assist in real estate assessments and transactions and support real estate needs.
• Perform other tasks assigned by Facilities Director.

Working with our Facilities team, you will be developing and maintaining workspaces to engage staff and promote firm success. As an integral leader in the organization, this person will collaborate with Fishbeck staff, building management, and outside vendors to support daily operations and prepare for future growth and changing business needs.

What You’ll Do

• Bachelor’s Degree in facilities related field or equivalent experience.
• Develop, document, and implement facility management programs.
• Operate facility programs that address staff requests with efficient and reliable service.
• Plan, direct, and oversee activities relating to office renovations, construction, expansions, and moves.
• Manage facility-related partners including internal teams, vendors, and property managers.
• Leverage data and feedback to drive solutions for changing workplace priorities.
• Research trends and implement changes that support business goals and workplace needs.
• Lead, coach, and mentor other facilities professionals to support program growth.
• Occasional travel to regional offices is expected.
• Assist in real estate assessments and transactions and support general real estate needs.
• Perform other related tasks assigned by Facilities Director.

What We’re Looking For

• 10+ years’ experience managing facilities operations and strategic initiatives.
• Responsibility managing projects and capital budgets.
• Strong problem solving, critical thinking, multi-tasking, and organizational skills.
• Effective communicator, both written and verbally, with attention to detail.
• Ability to plan for and keep track of multiple projects and deadlines.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office product suite (Excel, Word, Teams, and Outlook).
• Proven ability to work effectively both independently and in a team environment.
• Demonstrated willingness to be flexible and adaptable to changing priorities.
• Real estate and development experience is a plus.
• Facility management and A/E software capabilities are a plus.
