A leading company is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Coordinator to oversee daily operations and safety at their church campus. This role includes ensuring all systems are well-maintained and coordinating with cleaning staff, vendors, and church leadership to facilitate events and activities. Job Description
This position plays a critical role in the day-to-day operations and safety of the church campus. It involves both hands-on maintenance and coordination with cleaning staff, vendors, and church leadership to ensure all systems, events, and facilities are well-managed and maintained.
Duties and Responsibilities
Reports to: Church/Financial Administrator
Works closely with: Manager of Cleaning and Facilities Operations, Campus Facilities Support/Office Support person, and CCC Coordinator
Demonstrates full understanding and ability to control: all equipment and systems provided by vendors (heating, cooling, septic, alarm, plumbing, appliances, oil/propane delivery) and is able to contact all vendors on an emergency basis
Demonstrates willingness and ability to share: all maintenance issues and electronic files with appropriate staff members
Responsible to be the first response: to fire and security systems seven days a week; in the event of vacation or PTO, must designate a point person
Provides oversight: of Manager of Cleaning & Facilities Operations, who oversees cleaning staff to ensure cleaning is thoroughly completed
Creates and oversees: monthly maintenance/cleaning staff calendar (with input from Manager of Cleaning and Facilities Operations) to ensure coverage and cleaning needs are met across the entire campus
Orders all supplies and equipment: for building maintenance and church activities, in accordance with budget guidelines
Oversees all orders: of cleaning supplies
Oversees campus projects: determined by Trustees to be necessary
Responsible for all required setups: as established by the CCC Coordinator
Assumes responsibility for all weekly event setups: including special holiday decorating, funerals, etc., and utilizes Manager of Cleaning and Facilities Operations and custodial staff for additional tasks as needed
Ensures all safety protocols: related to physical space are met
Provides oversight of snow and ice removal: and safety precautions as required by law
